Guyana controlled region??? I think they mean integral part of the Guyanese state! Guyanese need to step up and make this clear. It’s not up for negotiation, this is Guyana not some territory that can be negotiated away.

The fact that BBC called the illegitimate usurper dictator “President” is critical in understanding the origin of the conflict. BBC regurgitates that from AP Wire which is controlled by powerful factions. This may be indication that it will be a rough ride for Guyana.

the bbc country profile for Guyana doesn’t even show the disputed territory while it does for the Suriname border

While headlines aren’t worded the best I do not think the BBC has a pro-Venezuela stance
